Executive Director of Player Development

Location: Sacramento, CA

The Executive Director of Player Development is responsible for devising measurable goals and objectives to determine profitability of guests assigned to the Casino Hosts/Executive Casino Hosts as this is critical to meeting budgeted EBITDA for the resort.  In addition to overall profitability each Casino Host/Executive Casino Host is  responsible for maintaining his/her existing customer database as well as actively identifying and developing new business and meeting goals for new Resort Card sign-ups.

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting The Resort's "Four-Diamond" standards and acting in a professional manner at all times.
  • Develop, maintain and analyze the database for opportunities to drive incremental revenue and trips from our carded customers
  • Monitor and approve comp issuance based on loss/theo/RI% for Non-Negotiable Chips (NNC), Match Play Coupons, and Extra Play Coin (XPC)
  • Establish goals and objectives for daily phone calls, letters, emails, etc., for the Casino Hosts/Executive Casino Hosts regarding current , inactive and prospective high-end players
  • Proven ability to resolve guest disputes in an effort to restore confidence in The Resort and the service we provide
  • Work collectively with all departments involved in planning and executing player events both on-site and off-site, tournaments for Table Games & Slots, Elite dinners on property and off-site, and themed events that are hosted throughout the year
  • Must be proficient in developing annual budgets as well as quarterly goals for the Player Development Department with a proven track record of controlling labor costs and expenses
  • Collaborates with Executive Management to ensure proper yielding of the Hotel rooms to maximize gaming revenue
  • Work closely with the Vice President of Marketing to help develop cross-property marketing promotions
  • Must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports provided by the Accounting Department
  • Ability to effectively communicate in One-on-One, small groups and large groups
  • Ability to present information to the Executive Team and public groups
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Responsible for identifying new/untapped business opportunities
  • Proven track record of managing the Telemarketers and Customer Service Agents (CSA) with the ability to devise an incentive program that will drive inactive business
  • Proven track record of utilizing Independent Agents to drive incremental revenue
  • Assist the Director of Cage Operations in collection of bad debt or outstanding credit payments owed to The Resort by guests that are assigned to individual Casino Hosts/Executive Casino Hosts


  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form
  • Must be proficient working with computers
  • Must be thoroughly knowledgeable of Title "31", MICS, SICS, and internal controls
  • Minimum of 10 years in a managerial role in Casino Marketing
  • Must have proven experience directing and managing the Bus Program
  • Must have experience identifying and negotiating contractual agreements pertaining to Asian themed events and concerts
  • Must have prior experience working with an Independent Rep Program
  • Must have the ability to coach for success, counsel and document Team Members Work History files appropriately and develop a succession plan for upward mobility for Team Members within the Player Development Department
  • Must be at least "21" years of age
  • Must be able to obtain a UAIC Tribal Gaming License
  • Must be flexible regarding schedules as it may vary due to business demands
