The System Director,
Total Rewards provides administrative leadership by developing strategic compensation and benefits initiatives that support
the client’s mission, vision and values. This position is integral to the
strategic positioning of the Health System as an employer of choice in the industry and the region through the careful crafting
of extrinsic and intrinsic rewards that work to promote value, equity, motivation and engagement among the client’s
staff. This individual will have the authority and accountability for planning, directing and coordinating all compensation,
benefits and work-life programs for the client.
Reports to: Chief People
Officer
Goals:

Realign compensation / benefits to be an attraction
tool while maximizing cost containment
·
Change from process oriented to strategic team
·
Proactively develop solutions to take into the budget
cycle
·
Defined compensation, benefits, health insurance
·
Knowledge of how total rewards are used to motivate,
attract, retain talent
·
Realigning rewards strategy with business strategy
·
Partnering with PR on communication campaign that
explains value proposition of comp/ benefits to staff
Requirements:
· Masters degree in HR Development, HR Management, Business, or related field; or Bachelors degree with
equivalent education/experience in human resource administration.
· Minimum of five (5) years
experience in compensation and benefits, 2-3 years of which must be in the health care industry required.
· Self directed with ability to work autonomously on several projects concurrently.
· Demonstrated knowledge of all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, regulations and requirements.
· Results-oriented individual, willing to take initiative and confident in presenting ideas and leading
groups.
· Customer-focused style to management, leadership, and employees.
Desire to provide a high level of responsiveness and customer attention and service.
· Ability to demonstrate exceptional skills in all forms of communication.
· SPHR, CCP, and/or CEBS (or CBP) certification preferred.
· Experience working in a not-for-profit an asset
· This is a strategic position. Candidates must have experience
driving change. Must also be a participative thinker, fun, partner with HR Leadership
team
