Director, Talent Acquisition, Training & Development

Our client is a global leader in semiconductors for wired and wireless communications.
This position is responsible for providing thought leadership and consultation
in the areas of Talent Acquisition, Employee Training, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Management Development,
Employee On-boarding, and other key strategic talent areas. The role is responsible for identifying/ensuring solutions are
integrated to facilitate end-to-end solutions in the talent space including being responsible for; redesigning, creating,
and implementing an enterprise-wide strategy, approach, and tools to support global processes. Additionally, the role is responsible
for creating solutions to enable company leaders to build a high performing organization- assessing, differentiating, and
developing employees. Overall, the role has global ownership for the optimization of Talent Acquisition, Employee Development,
and Retention of organizational talent.
Talent Acquisition:
• Works
collaboratively with leadership and HR Business Partners to effectively identify and plan staffing efforts to achieve strategic
goals established in firm wide planning efforts.
• Works
with management to ensure recruiting result in “Best Fit” talent across all business lines leveraging Recruiting
and Selection processes.
• Develops,
directs and implements progressive, innovative recruiting strategies to attract high caliber candidates meeting growth needs
of the organization.
• Develops
department policies and procedures to support firms recruiting effort.
• Ensures
programs are in compliance with laws and guidelines.
• Coordinates
with third party providers recruiting services need to drive strategic growth goals.
Training & Development
• Develops
and implements succession planning process to identify, develop and retain high potential Talent partnering with HR Business
Partner team.
• Partners
with HR Business Partners to ensure talent development are an integrated process.
• Create
performance management-related solutions for "building a high performing organization.
• Design/conduct
training for end-users that it contextually related to performance management and succession.
• Provide
thought leadership, project hands-on support to other Talent Management initiatives.
• Manage
and leverage relationships and contracts with external vendors in the performance management, succession planning, executive
coaching, and other related spaces.
• Develop
and implement processes to provide for career path identification and development for all associates
• Lead
the management development and employee training activities, including needs assessments, vendor selection and in house training
course development
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s
degree required, advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum
10 years corporate HR experience.
• Cross-disciplinary
Human Resources expertise – experience in 3 or more of the following areas preferable: Global Staffing, Training, Succession
Management, Performance Management, Management Development and Leadership Competencies
• Must
be highly self-motivated, able to work independently with little or no direct supervision. Must be able to establish appropriate
goals, priorities, and strong metrics to ensure organizational growth goals are met and remain focused on achieving desired
results.
• Must
demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills, both inside and outside the organization and be able to effectively
communicate throughout all levels. Must be able to relate on an individual and group basis as needed. Incumbent must also
possess good listening skills and be empathetic to the needs and demands of managers and employees.
• Incumbent
must demonstrate proficient PC skills; including knowledge of most Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint
and experience with Brassring ATS preferred.
• Ability
to understand and articulate the strategic value of integrated Talent Management processes particularly linkages between recruitment,
competencies, performance and development a plus.
Ideal candidate:
Although the position reads like a combination of a Director Staffing and Director
of talent Management, we are looking for more of a generalist in the function of Director of Human resources from a publicly-traded
technology company. Experience overseeing the staffing function, implementing
OD initiatives and experience as HR Business Partner for a P&L Business Unit.
