Chief Executive Officer

As
part of a major strategic growth plan the company is looking for a Chief Executive Officer to head up its America’s
service management software business.
The
company is the US subsidiary of a successful UK software company operating in the enterprise software space which has been
continuously profitable and organically grown over the last 12 years. The present CEO and founder is leading the creation
of the company’s next generation technology as well as putting in the organizational infrastructure needed to underpin
the company’s forward growth strategy. The board of directors has defined a strategic plan that has created strategic
business units within the company and is recruiting for the newly created role of Chief Executive Officer as part of that
growth plan.
Requirement
The
requirement is for an individual who has a proven, successful and demonstrable track record in the enterprise software space
with an exceptional sales and marketing background and proven leadership ability. The America’s business unit is in
its early stages of growth, its cash generative and has a good positive cash position. It has revenues of about $1m with a
staff complement of 7 people. Focusing on the delivery of our strategic vision for our service management business unit, the
key areas identified that need initial development are sales and marketing. The position will be ideally suited to someone
that has exceptional and demonstrable background and ability in both sales and marketing strategies and operations within
the enterprise software space.
The
successful candidate must have the ability to manage a cohesive, productive team; ability to work under intensive deadlines
and across multiple departments; skills in interacting with staff members and others encountered in the course of work. Do

Key Responsibilities
Reporting
to the board of directors of the group, the candidate will assume full and overall responsibility for: -
• Providing leadership and strategic innovation and direction
• The definition and execution of revenue growth strategies with clear milestones,
defines success factors and a thorough analysis of the risks involved
• Open new geographic markets within the America’s territory outside of the
US and Canada where the majority of sales currently occur
• Responsibility for providing input into the product management group in the UK
to ensure the service management applications exceed customer demands putting the business into a market leading position
• The implementation and delivery of people development, succession and incentive
schemes
• Full P&L responsibility with monthly reporting to the group board
• Overall business unit operations for covering all aspects of sales, marketing,
service delivery and application development.
